The Spirit Speaks – of Living Through Hardship

cross 9-11

I, the Spirit of Jesus Christ, know that life is hard. After all, I lived my own life. I lived a human life, with all the pain, and the emotional trauma, and coming face-to-face with evil, and anger, and hypocrisy, and even friends who turn against you. I’ve faced hardships similar to what you’re facing. So I know how difficult life is.

And I’m here to say that you don’t have to go through this alone. I am with you. I am within you. All you need to do is believe this, and look within yourself and find me there. Faith will open the eyes of your heart to see me, within you. And you will realize that you are not alone on this journey through this valley of the shadow of death.

I am walking with you on this journey, sharing it all with you. And sharing myself with you.

I love writing - it gets me out of bed when it's way too dark, just so I can do some writing before heading off to work. I write because I’m passionate about God, Jesus, His Spirit, and His truth. And, I feel the Holy Spirit gets shortchanged in the world we call Christianity. The truth is sometimes lacking too.

Author, are you claiming to be the Spirit of Jesus Christ? If not, by what authority do you write this?

Nope. I’m just a servant, maybe like you. Though I feel inspired by the Holy Spirit who lives within me to write these “The Spirit Speaks…” posts, I’m still a fallible human, like anyone else. I’m sure I sometimes say things, in this style of Him speaking, that He would not say. For this I’m sorry. But I believe in my heart that He wants me to continue. I know some people enjoy this style. I know I do. For those who are uncomfortable with it, I apologize.

Understand, to me it is taking the Lord’s name in vain, when you put words in their mouth. I am sure you mean no harm by it. Of course, I see Jesus as a treacher and not Lord or God, so it is not that big an issue for me personally, however for others your message should be the one you deliver personally. You do have the same authority to speak of God that reflects your understanding, the same as Jesus, the one that came before who taught God’s love for all.

      Have a wonderful day
