CJ Penn's Online Writing Hangout

The reason I write: To promote Christian truth and help Jesus get His Christianity back.

This blogging thing is weird.

Friends made, not seen.

I notice you when you visit,

when you “like” one of my posts for some reason.

Your familiar postage-stamp image brings me a smile.

Comments help me know you better.

And sometimes I visit your blog home,

and hang out with you for a bit.

I feel we could be friends.

In a way, we are.

But it’s not the same.

It feels hollow; reality is missing.

A friend made, yet not seen.

This blogging thing is weird.

My heart wants more than this.

I think I need a hug.

I love writing - it gets me out of bed when it's way too dark, just so I can do some writing before heading off to work. I write because I’m passionate about God, Jesus, His Spirit, and His truth. And, I feel the Holy Spirit gets shortchanged in the world we call Christianity. The truth is sometimes lacking too.

Hugs to you, C. J. (in a cyber blogging sort of way). :) I wish also there could be a face to face encounter, and more personal connection through one on one. But, hopefully our writing voices will project and reflect those things we want to say, with our blogs, if not face to face.

I loved this. Thank you. I, too think that it is impersonal and yet on some level more personal. I can pour out my heart, thoughts, ideas, and it is somewhat anonymous. I can collect my thoughts, organize them better, but the true human contact is missing….at least for those of us who are a little older and a little (hopefully) wiser!! Echoing the “hugs” CJ sent…..!!
